The anticipation was great, but unfortunately the result neither met our expectations nor the high standards of the house. Even if the (Italian) service was polite and attentive, the original Peking duck menu served did not meet the quality standards and price level of the restaurant ... In terms of taste, the duck was acceptable, but the meat was much too dry and got cold too quickly on the serving plate despite the hot plate. The pancakes were tough and gum-like. Unfortunately, there was also no soup made from the leftovers, as is customary in China and in the past also served in the Peking Tehaus in Hamburg. Pity!

Mmmm just drove over 1000 kilometers again to eat one of these special ducks again. The ambience has also become very nice and of course the people are nice as ever. Just an institution in Hamburg nice that you exist. 🤗😋

Was there again after several years. Unfortunately, not much has really changed. It's all about the main course which is really great. Otherwise you have the feeling that you have fallen into a tourist trap for the money. It starts with the plastic tablecloths and napkins and ends with the poor service. Example: if I pay € 100 for my meal, I don't necessarily expect the service to go through the rows with the aluminum kitchen trolley to clear the tables. If you don't bother to take a tray, then you can at least buy a service trolley for the guest area or am I too demanding? Corona probably doesn't exist there either. Every table was occupied. It's a shame, it's the many little things (basically the attitude) that don't have to be what makes the enthusiasm wane.

What a shame! my husband loves peking duck just as it has always been cooked in this house. But today it tasted like rancid oil and nothing else and that for over € 100 for 2-3 people. This creates the impression that the current economic situation is being used to deliver poorer quality and to believe that customers do not notice it. Really a shame, but we won't be back.

Compared to the old, original Peking Duck House, only a few nuances are missing from the fifth star. The location is a bit more sterile, it is less personal and the food is very tasty, but a bit worse compared to before. But in any case, four good points!

The food is beyond reproach. I have already been to China and can confirm that this duck is originally prepared. I would particularly like to highlight the new location. This is a lot better than the somewhat too plush old restaurant. So now the quality of the food goes hand in hand with the spacious and modern restaurant.

Well, Peking Duck is the signature dish, very well made, very tasty. You can just go there and get one, no 24h pre order, but 2 poeple or more is required. Tip: the tofu as starter is worth trying!

If you want to eat original Peking duck, you should definitely eat here once. Highly recommended!

The duck is rightly in the foreground. Together with the serving at the table, this ensures an ingenious experience. Peking duck is the tastiest I've ever eaten.

Menu ordered last week to be picked up by phone, as a surprise for an anniversary with my wife. When we tried to pick it up, the restaurant was locked and nobody knew. I've never seen anything like it.

I was the first time in Beijing ducks house but have eaten before many times original Peking duck. We were very friendly and warm welcome and the whole stay very attentive and friendly. Apart from that, the duck was really delicious! If you like to eat original Peking duck you are in my opinion here in good hands.

Come here if you like to eat a dry duck with onions and sauce.. I don't like much, but it seems to be the favorite..

What an extraordinary treat, here to eat an orignal Peking Duck. Sometimes the waiting times are very long, so I recommend an early appearance. Considering what's included in the menu price, at least I think the PLV is fine. And after photos say more like 1000 words, I'll add some photos. *

Miserable service. We wait> 1h for the duck - and would like to have a drink as well. Unfortunately, this does not seem possible. It's a pity, how can a restaurant manage so badly? We will go immediately without payment.

It used to be a really good place with the best crispy duck to be found anywhere near, but recently it has been losing in quality somewhat. It doesn't seem as clean, the staff isn't as nice and the new place is not as calm as the previous place. The duck is still of a very good quality and if the main chef is there, it is still delicious, but the overall degrade in quality makes it overpriced.

This is now my favorite Peking duck place. The duck was perfect! The skin was crunchy, the best was juicy, and the black bean hoisin plum sauce that came with the duck delicious. As for service, the two of us were there on a very nice day/evening outside (everyone was by the lake) so the service was exquisite. The server always made sure we needed nothing.

Good pekking duck. Pancakes not thin

As the name suggests, I went there to eat Peking Ente. Have been there already many years ago. Yes, there are also other meals on the menu, but don't know how they are. The meal was tasty as I remembered it. Really something special for me. The restaurant moved to a new place, close to the former one. Very bright and spacious now, with large windows. I had the feeling that the main staff was the same as earlier. They are distant and on the quiet side.

Can't share the bad service experience. Our waiter was very friendly and the duck was always delicious. However, the waiting times are quite long, even if there isn't a lot going on.

Quintessence: The entrees were very mediocre, the Peking Duck was nice though. They do give you refills of pancakes/slices of cucumber/spring onion and sweet bean sauce. The restaurant looks more fancy from the outside than it actually is inside. The service was okay. In detail: Two friends and I ordered the menu for 3-4 people. We had the option to choose two out of four entrees. We decided to order the fried fish and beef. The fish was coated in a tempura kind of dough and deep-fried. Both entrees were very mediocre, a little bit salty. They were served with some kind of mixed rice, definitely not pure jasmine rice as the grains were not sticking together as much. After finishing our entrees they served the Peking Duck. A chef came out and carved the duck in front of our eyes, which was kind of nice to watch. The Peking Duck was served with steamed pancakes, slices of cucumber/spring onion and a sweet bean sauce. Whenever we needed more pancakes or slices of cucumber/spring onion we could always ask for it, but the waiter also made sure we had enough by coming around every now and then checking if we needed anything. We couldn't finish the duck as fast as we probably should have. At some point it got cold and a bit chewy. The waiters were friendly but kind of forgetful. Even though there were only three other people in the restaurant when we ordered they couldn't remember who ordered which drink. Instead of asking they decided to randomly give us our drinks. The inside of the restaurant doesn't look anything like you would expect when you see the outside. It doesn't look like a traditional Chinese restaurant, but a bit plain and boring. (One of the waiters told us they'd be moving to another place. Maybe they'll change the interior design at their new place.) In total I would have expected more as this restaurant is quite expensive. Moreover I'm disappointed that they don't use pure jasmin rice.

Waited for more than half an hour, nothing came out from the kitchen. No one in the restaurant was getting anything. We had to leave at the end with an empty stomach. The owner said that something was not working right in the kitchen. But why open for business if your kitchen is not working? How long were we expected to wait if we hadn't asked?
